The Hatch Product Development Process
Our structured development process has been perfected over 40 years to ensure that we meet your specifications and cost targets while maintaining the highest quality standards. Each stage is designed to validate circuit performance and gather your feedback so that the final product is ideally matched to your lighting fixture.
Discovery
Collaboration with your team to develop your ideal product specification. Once this is complete, we will collect a Project Initiation Fee to begin Prototyping.
Prototyping
Creating and testing custom prototypes to validate electrical and mechanical performance. Prototype units will be sent to you for validation.
Development Agreement
You will be presented with a Development Agreement and an estimate of the Development Costs, NREs and Unit Pricing.
Full Development
Your product will enter our Full Development engineering process. During this phase, we will build "Pre-Pilot" units that will be functionally equivalent to the mass production unit.
Testing, Certification & Validation
Your product will be fully tested by our engineering team and submitted for UL certification. At this time, Pre-Pilot units will also be sent to you for validation.
Mass Production
Once you certify the Pre-Pilot units, mass Production will begin!
